What happens during the first consultation?
The first appointment is a private conversation about your situation. There is no set agenda — the session moves at your pace. At the close, you receive a written summary of what was covered and a considered view on the options available to you under applicable Thai law. There is no requirement to instruct us further.
How long does the dissolution process typically take?
Timeline varies considerably depending on whether the matter is uncontested or contested, and whether children or significant property interests are involved. We discuss realistic timeframes with each client before any proceeding begins, and keep you informed throughout.
Is my consultation kept private?
Yes. Everything discussed with our counsel is held in strict confidence. We do not share any information about your circumstances or your instruction with third parties without your knowledge and consent.
Can you assist with matters involving children?
Where children are part of the circumstances, our advice places their continuing welfare at the centre. We discuss custody, access, and care arrangements carefully, and we encourage thoughtful communication with the other party where that is appropriate.
What are the fees, and how are they structured?
Our initial consultation is ฿2,500. Marriage dissolution counsel begins at ฿5,200, and family settlement negotiation at ฿8,100. All fees are discussed and agreed in writing before any work begins. There are no unexpected charges.
Do I need to speak Thai to use your service?
No. All consultations, correspondence, and documentation are conducted in English. We work with a number of international clients and understand the additional complexity that can arise for those unfamiliar with the Thai legal system.
